India Habitat Centre, New Delhi: Good Good Piggy organised its first community event called Mompreneurs’ Playdate this Sunday at India Habitat Centre focusing on mothers who are also running businesses. This was their first public event to meet and understand their audience- busy parents at a scale.
While the event was named after the mothers, it was their little ones that stole the show. The children had their own activities centred around pretend play-based learning and money management. The mothers and children participated in activities together to understand the time they spend together during their everyday routines.
Good Good Piggy organised a session with known psychologist Rashmi Wadhwa addressing the concerns of a busy mother-generation gap, changing childhood and time management. They also talked about mom guilt and made it an interactive session with anecdotes from mothers and advice from Ms. Wadhwa. “This event adds to entrepreneurship and allows women to feel supported. I had a lovely time meeting all the moms and I’m glad I was able to answer all their questions. It was a very informative session.”, said Rashmi Wadhwa, child psychologist and mentor at Good Good Piggy.
“I think events like this are a good support network for moms and it tells them not to be too hard on themselves.”

While all these activities were on the agenda for the day, the curtain-raiser for their app was the revelation of the day. Good Good Piggy is a digital piggy bank and habit builder, a new concept in the education sector, trying to revamp financial literacy and providing positive reinforcement to nurture “good good habits” formation and behaviour modification. This was the first public offering from this Shark Tank startup where founder Purva Aggarwal found much popularity. With some of the Sharks on the show misinterpreting the pre-revenue stage of the company, the launch of the app has been much anticipated by viewers of the show.
Focusing on a small but vibrant community, this event held on October 16th was a big milestone in their journey. With Alumni Club, EntrepreNaari, Aspire For Her and 1st Cheque as community partners, the Mompreneurs’ Playdate invited some notable mom-entrepreneurs. Tots magazine and Elante jewellery were also partners for the event as they cater to the same audience. Event partner, Entrepreneurs Media, was also present to cover the happenings for this company’s debut. XFit Kids held a fun session for the children which engaged them, leaving the mothers time and space to network with the other businesswomen.
“Mompreneurs’ Playdate really was a playdate. The kids made everything so much fun and I am glad we were able to create an engaging learning environment for them.”

It is the small touches that make a show remarkable. Good Good Piggy treated their guests like celebrities with a “purple carpet” ramp walk, their brand colour, as they entered and flashing lights to complete the effect. Children were delighted to choose their goodies, instead of being handed some and personalising their bags. Even the decor was a mark to the kids with candy bowls everywhere and balloons for the kids to take home.
“It was a successful day- meeting so many brilliant businesswomen and learning from them. We are glad the kids had a blast and their energy made the activities more fun than we could ever anticipate. We noticed their impulsiveness and instant gratification collectively and I am glad to find the trust from moms that Good Good Piggy can address this behaviour by encouraging delayed gratification, responsibility and discipline”, said Purva Aggarwal, founder of Good Good Piggy after an exhausting but productive run for her and her team in organising the Playdate.
